British pianist and conductor Chris Cartner studied in London and Amsterdam before spending many years living and working in Australia. There, he collaborated with Opera Australia, Sydney Philharmonia, and the Sydney Symphony Orchestra. In 2013, he founded the successful concert series Resonance Concerts.

In 2017, he returned to Europe and established himself as a freelance musician in Berlin and throughout Germany. Since then, he has been active in a wide range of roles – as an opera répétiteur, concert accompanist, orchestral pianist, and choral conductor. He is currently the Assistant Chorus Master and répétiteur of the State Opera Chorus at the Staatsoper Unter den Linden in Berlin.
