Savannah Greene, Soprano
Savannah Greene has been described as a “soaring virtuoso” soprano with a voice that is “impressive” and “hauntingly beautiful”. She began this season by performing with the Camerata-Wroclaw Orchestra at Aula Leopoldina in Poland, a venue graced by musicians like Brahms and Chopin. Recently, Savannah was a Finalist in the International Artists Competition in Vienna, Austria and made her European debut in Scharbeutz, Germany as La Contessa in Mozart's Le nozze di Figaro. Last spring, she performed in "A Fork in the Road", a recital nominated as “Best Vocal Recital” in the SFCV Audience Choice Awards. The recital showcased works by Wagner, Strauss, Bach, and Berg.
Currently, Savannah is preparing the roles of Elle in Poulenc’s complex one-woman opera, La Voix Humaine and Anna in Puccini's Le Villi, to be performed later this year. Last season, Savannah was featured as a Soloist in Pergolesi’s Stabat Mater, as well as several Mozart Masses including: Mass in G Major, The Sparrow Mass, and Coronation Mass. Last season, Savannah won 2nd place in the San Francisco Innovative Music Competition and she also advanced as a Semi-Finalist in the Palm Springs Opera Guild Vocal Competition and the Premiere Opera Foundation International Vocal Competition in NYC. She debuted with Pacific Opera Project as Gianetta in "L’elisir d’amore", was a Grant Recipient with The Opera Buffs, and starred as Catherine Sloper in the live premiere of the contemporary opera, "Washington Square”, at the Hollywood Fringe Festival.
